Dr. Baass obtained his medical degree in 2005 from the Université de Montréal. He then completed his residency training in Medical Biochemistry and a MSc. in Biomedical Sciences in 2010 in the same institution. After which he completed his post-doctoral fellowship in lipidology at the institute de recherché Clinique de Montréal under the supervision of Dr. Davignon. Dr. Baass is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and is currently a member of the division of Medicine of the McGill University Health Center as well as an assistant professor of medicine at the McGill University. His main research interests are the investigation of genes involved in Familial Hypercholesterolemia as well as the metabolic impacts of PCSK9. Dr. Baass is involved in several phase II/III clinical trials investigating the effects of PCSK9 inhibitors.
