Asthma affects up to 20% of the population. In children there are uique challenges with repect to diagnosis and management. Severela differrent "endotypes" have been described. Understanding the subtle differences in the endotype is important to the right choice for management. Prognosis and even prevention is sometimes possible with good management plans. We will discuss pediatric asthma diagnosis and managemnt hguidleines for 2018 with a view to the novel therapies on the horizon.
